We are Returning to the Salmagundi Club!
We have good news! We are delighted to return to the Salmagundi Club in the New Year! And the news gets even better – we are excited to be kicking-off our future events at our favorite art club in true Oxbridge fashion – with a speaker series. This is an event you will not want to miss – we are setting the bar high with our inaugural speaker!
Please join us to hear a talk from former federal agent Bonnie Goldblatt, who has built a fascinating career as an investigator on the front lines of international art fraud. Details of the event are as follows:
7:00 PM – 7:30 PM | Keynote
Speaker: Bonnie Goldblatt, Founder & CEO, AML Art Compliance Experts
Starting as a federal agent specializing in international art fraud and money laundering investigations for the U.S. Customs Service and successor agency, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, she later became Managing Director of Compliance at Citibank.
Bonnie’s efforts as a skilled negotiator have led to over $100M in art and cultural property repatriations and prosecutions, including WWI and WWII museum thefts, Holocaust art thefts, and international gallery thefts.
7:30 PM – 7:45 PM | Moderated Q&A
A short moderated Q & A will be guided by Naphtali Rivkin. A graduate of Clare College, Cambridge, Naphtali served as a US government intelligence analyst before turning his attention to corporate fraud. He recently co-published a piece in Worth Magazine about investigations and regulations in the art market.
After the talk, we will adjourn for networking and libations. Live jazz piano will be provided by Steve Hudson.
After closing hours, for those of you that prefer to keep the party going, we will move to The Strip House Speakeasy just around the corner from the Salmagundi Club. Please note that we have not reserved the space, and time/capacity limitations will be at the discretion of Strip House’s normal schedule of operations.
