Event waiver and release of liability statement

By attending any events either organized by CantabNYC (the “Organizer”) or by independent external parties (“External Parties”) and promoted by the Organizer or otherwise discovered through interacting with the Organizer, any attendee (a “Participant”) hereby releases, waives, and discharges the Organizer from any and all liability, claims, demands, or actions that may arise from injury, death, or damages resulting from participation in the event. This release includes any claims based on the negligence of the Organizer.

 

The Participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer against any and all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities, including attorney’s fees, brought as a result of the Participant’s involvement in the event and to reimburse the Organizer for any such expenses incurred.

 

Should any provision of this agreement be held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will continue to be fully effective.

 

The Participant has read this statement, fully understands its terms, and acknowledges that they are giving up substantial rights voluntarily, including their right to sue the Organizer, providing a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the Organizer to the greatest extent allowed by law.
